I've just tested here on linux and all seems OK.
When the exporter dialog opens, there should be a combobox on the lower right,
to allow selection of field separator. Do you see that? Did you make a
selection?
So far as the CSV importer is concerned, it would be best to raise a separate
bug report, with some details.
