Selecting "match on payee name" with my payee name being "Nicor Gas" and the downloaded name "NICOR GAS ONLINE PMT 141014" doesn't fix it. I think we might be talking about two separate problems, too; generally, I haven't needed to enable matching by name in Payees. In the past, KMyMoney has been able to match a downloaded transaction for exactly the same amount as a transaction in the register without having to specify a matching name.
