Allan,

You are right about "referring to the background colour of the selected transaction."

The version is 4.6.3, using KDE Development Platform 4.10.5, according to "About My KMyMoney" under "Help."

Selection Text Color Background changes don't seem to to anything to the text within the green highlight box. I've tried but the text in the ledger, in the box, remains white inside the green.

I figured out the the check box on the home page relating to font size didn't say what I originally though it said so I unchecked it. Now the font is what I set and much easier to read in spite of the colors and contrasts.

I think I am good and we can end this exchange. Thanks to all of you who responded. Nice to know that I can actually get human interaction when I need help. And, yes, I am a Noob. Went to Linux Mint Olivia about three months ago and haven't taken the time to learn more than superficial use needs. Will work on that.

Hi

Please use "reply all" when replying. there may be others with helpful

There is some funny stuff going on with the fonts. Although mine didn't
forget the fonts it certainly ignored the size and typeface I set.

Let's go back to the beginning.

Am I right in thinking that you are not referring to the colour used for matched transactions? Are you in fact referring to the backgrond colour of the selected transaction?

As far as I see, the 'Use system colors' does not affect the selected transaction background. In fact it is set by the system settings.

I don't think we know which distro you are using, but you need to run sytem settings, the KDE version not the gnome/other version. There, if you select Application Appearance, then look for Selection Background. You can adjust the colour/intensity there, and also the selection text colour. You can see the effect at the bottom of that window. You may have to restart KMM for it to pick up the new settings.

So far as font size is concerned, I'm not sure what you mean by 'retain last setting of font size made while in use.' Here, you need to use the KMM settings/Fonts. Then you may choose either to use system settings or KMM settings.

Did that. No joy. Also, it is configured to retain last setting of
font size made while in use. I made the font larger but now it is
back to the original size.
This program has a mind of it's own.
