I - for my part - like the current (k)ion logo very much and think the new
proposal is not able to compete with it at all. :-)

I didn't want to stand in the way of progress, but I must say I agree
with you. The only thing I could see that might give the appearance of
being 'dated' is the typeface of its letter 'K'.
