It is staying within the same account, what is happening is the stocks are being converted to a 'clean share class'. The current shares are in a class of shares that are still paying a rebate, and my investments are being converted into 'clean shares' that do not pay rebates but offer a lower annual management charge. So 100 shares of StockA are being converted into 61 shares of StockB.
So although they are still shares of the same company, I think they are a different security, and I assume they have a different ticker symbol. That is certainly a different issue from the wish-list I opened. Only someone who knows the code better could say whether I should add this request to the one I just opened, or if it should be a separate wishlist for tracking purposes.
