Allan,

I noticed in your comments on this commit that Interest income was
removed from Buys and Sells. Buys I can see, but I have been using the
field in Sells to have a place to record long and short term capital
gains. Thought I'd pass this along as a reasonable use case - it is
useful for tax purposes to be able to record your income on sales
somewhere. I've been patching this back into the total for a sell price.

There have been quite a few changes in this area, which are awaiting committal, but not affecting your issue. I will see to that, although it will be a while before the next release hits the distros - unless to are able to build from source.

It would be really nice if the whole investment function was updated to
allow tracking of individual transactions with separate rate of returns
for each rather than the grouping together that now exists. Even when
there is only a single buy and sell, the rate of return values
frequently seem random. Too many return negative or 0 returns when the
transaction was profitable.

I take it you are referring here to investment reports. This is outside my area of - I won't say expertise - knowledge. Would you submit a bug for it to https://bugs.kde.org/, marking the severity as wishlist. It would be very helpful if you could give any examples.

Allan
