4.10.5 is the version of KDE, not KMyMoney, which is probably 4.6.3, if you can
confirm it.
Changing the opening balance to 0 does not delete the opening transaction,
which may still need to be deleted. I am also assuming you did not reference
the account in any schedule, which would also prevent deletion.
