Ralf refers to 'settings->general->filter->show equity accounts'. When this is enabled, the equity accounts that get displayed in the Payee view Default account and in Accounts view are in fact stocks. In the case, say, of dividend payments, an incoming transaction to a stock may not refer to the stock, and perhaps Ralf wants to select an equity/stock to be applied by default.
