Why didn't you do that? There's certainly no need to wipe out the whole disk (we're not on that other OS). You mentioned, that you have the agent, and even the pinentry-qt program is available. All you need to do is get the agent running and the method I use is the small shell script in .kde/env @Allen: the name of the script does not matter. you can call it whatever you like.
