I know you may be tired of receiving countless automated messages regarding your products but I assure you this one is different. To keep the introduction as short as possible, on 11 Mar 2013 we actually tested KMyMoney and after that we did two things: 1. We created a Quick Look Video showcasing KMyMoney's menus and features 2. We wrote a review highlighting important elements of your application KMyMoney Quick Look Video This was not intended to be a full video review of KMyMoney but just a quick way of highlighting the way the application looks and works, what the main menus are and how to perform basic tasks with it. We believe this to be just a fast first contact with KMyMoney for our visitors so they can better understand the program's interface and how it operates. The Review After analysing the application, George Norman, one of our editors, wrote a short review, focusing on the strong points of KMyMoney: ----------------------- KMyMoney â Free Personal Finance Manager Do you need a bit of help in keeping track of your finances? Do you want a powerful yet comprehensive tool to track your accounts and transactions? Do you want to get all these things for free? If your answer to all these questions is something like âsure I doâ, then I invite you to check out KMyMoney. This is a free, powerful, yet easy to use, personal finance manager. The application's installation file for Windows is close to 50MB in size. Run this file once the download completes and you will be presented with a setup wizard that will guide you through the installation process. When youâre done and you launch KMyMoney for the first time, you will be presented with a âWelcome to KMyMoney!â prompt that will guide you through the initial program setup. You will get to enter some personal data, select a currency, select accounts, and set some program preferences. On the left hand side of the applicationâs interface you will see numerous buttons: Home, Institutions, Accounts, Scheduled Transactions, and more. Use these buttons to easily and quickly switch from one section to another. At the top of the interface you will see a traditional File Menu and a toolbar with buttons for several functions and features offered by the application â open ledger, edit account, find transaction, and so on. Speaking about features, hereâs a quick look at KMyMoneyâs main features: support for numerous accounts types, support for multiple currencies, track income and expenses, bank account reconciliation, import and export data, access a variety of reports, manage budgets, view forecasts, schedule transactions, manage a checking account, and more. The application was developed with ease of use in mind â so accessing the functionality it offers is a fairly straightforward matter. If youâve ever used a commercial personal finance manager before, you should quickly get started with KMyMoney. And speaking about commercial personal finance managers, KMyMoney offers the same sort of functionality you would expect to get from a paid manager â but it offers it for free (it is released under a GNU General Public License). With KMyMoney, you get all the finance management functionality you need. You can access it via a user friendly interface and you donât have to part with your money for it. Pros KMyMoney is available for multiple platforms. The application was designed with ease of use in mind. A nice set of powerful finance management features is put at your disposal. KMyMoney is a free application.
