Looks like you have a newer compiler with a new option "-Wunused-but-set-
parameter" which shows the warning. It's a warning, so it does not harm. I'll
take a look once I am at my dev box later today.

I've recently installed openSuse 12.1, but hadn't taken note of when
exactly this started. The only harm it does is temporarily cause my
anxiety level to rise when I see several unexpected messages!
