In my Institutions view are showing the eight institutions I created, plus the default with the remaining accounts. I appear to have two issues.
1) Some of the institutions are 'virtual' - there's no corresponding institution. I am using it instead to group some stocks, to correspond to the broker's account content. Within the view, the individual stocks are showing, with, in some cases, no value showing where there should be a value corresponding to the ledger value. One or more is missing this detail in the Institution view, but the total for the institution includes the missing amount/s. What might be the reason for this? 2) I then noticed that one of the suspect institutions cannot be edited - that option does not appear, either in the context menu or the Institution menu. The context menu shows an 'edit account' entry, which leads to one of the associated stocks. Again, what might cause this?
