Hello, I am using version 4.5.0, on Kubuntu. I like a lot of the interface decisions, but it seems that the basic behaviour of expense pie charts is somewhat suboptimal.
1. When I select "Income and Expenses Pie Chart", I see a pie chart with a segment for income, and segment for expenses, and no further details. The "Row/Columns" tab of the report configuration dialog, under "Row", allows me to switch to Asset/Liabilities display, but there's no way to filter the view to just Expenses. Further, while the "Category" tab allows me to select categories, they appear to just affect that is included in the total, and don't result in categories appearing in the pie chart itself. 2. When I select "Income and Expenses Graph", I can switch the display type to pie, remove all income categories, and then arrive at pie chart that seem to show expenses by categories. Frankly, it's entirely not clear why this should be different from "Income and Expenses Pie Chart". However -- the chart uses very similar colors, which makes it hard to read. There are no percentages or numeric values on the chart itself. I can see values when I hover mouse over a pie, but I would prefer to see values right away, and there's no way to see percentage. I've tried to enable "Draw Value on Chart" on the "Chart" tab, and that resulted in number "100" been drawn in one place. The screenshot can be found at http://lvk.cs.msu.su/~ghost/expenses-chart.jpeg Also, it's not possible to select how many pie segments should be shown. Right now, I see 6, with the last being "Other". I suppose I can file a dozen of bugs, but this seems like a general design issue. Say, on GnuCash, the same report can be invoked in one click, and is immediately useful. Can KMyMoney to the same, without requiring user to undersand differences between "Income and Expenses" Graph and Pie, and other configuration? 2. How do I get an monthly average of expenses in certain category, over all year? There are various reports having to do with moving average of investments, but nothing of the kind I'm looking for.
