MADV_DONTNEED in Linux is utter nonsense, and its semantics are broken wrt to
the POSIX definition. What's one more quirk on an already quirky

I suggest we just let the (default) configs to be set on ARK, and then check
with our perf folks for any potential regressions, which I bet will be of no
significance.
