I agree with Jarod, explicitly turning off RHEL disabled configs in automotive ensures we're safeguarding against unintended changes in the future, especially in cases where RHEL might change things unexpectedly. @dcaratti yes implementing test are nice to have, but i think the double- disable approach is good for cases where we want to explicitly prevent accidental config changes. > Also, I don't think the double disable would protect one of the settings in case it's determined by 'Depends' or 'Selects' keyword in Kconfig. I don’t fully agree with the concern about double-disabling not protecting settings influenced by Depends or Selects. When running `make distconfig`, the build process should already detect such dependency conflicts and return an error during the configuration phase.
