2 years on lol! Christopher, I'm afraid the laptop in question has died, so I can't run that command just now. I'll tell you what though, it only just died, and I'm expecting my replacement laptop in a couple of weeks, so I'll try and get hibernate working on *that* and I'll provide updates here if it doesn't work...

I've installed s2disk, which at least lets the computer complete the hibernation, but the system hangs during the 'resuming from disk' splash screen. Laptop is a Sony Vaio Z2 (VPC-Z21C5E) . It features an SSD with some kind of weird RAID setup: $ mount /dev/mapper/isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0p1 on / type ext4 (rw,errors=remount-ro) [...] /dev/mapper/isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0p6 on /media/SHARED type fuseblk $ tree /dev/disk/by-id/ /dev/disk/by-id/ |-- ata-SAMSUNG_MZRPC128HACD-000SO_S0T6NY0B706684 -> ../../sda |-- ata-SAMSUNG_MZRPC128HACD-000SO_S0T6NY5B706684 -> ../../sdb |-- dm-name-isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0 -> ../../dm-0 |-- dm-name-isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0p1 -> ../../dm-1 |-- dm-name-isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0p2 -> ../../dm-2 |-- dm-name-isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0p3 -> ../../dm-3 |-- dm-name-isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0p4 -> ../../dm-4 |-- dm-name-isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0p5 -> ../../dm-5 |-- dm-name-isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0p6 -> ../../dm-6 |-- dm-uuid-DMRAID-isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0 -> ../../dm-0 |-- dm-uuid-part1-DMRAID-isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0 -> ../../dm-1 |-- dm-uuid-part2-DMRAID-isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0 -> ../../dm-2 |-- dm-uuid-part3-DMRAID-isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0 -> ../../dm-3 |-- dm-uuid-part4-DMRAID-isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0 -> ../../dm-4 |-- dm-uuid-part5-DMRAID-isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0 -> ../../dm-5 |-- dm-uuid-part6-DMRAID-isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0 -> ../../dm-6 |-- raid-isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0-part1 -> ../../dm-1 |-- raid-isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0-part2 -> ../../dm-2 |-- raid-isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0-part3 -> ../../dm-3 |-- raid-isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0-part4 -> ../../dm-4 |-- raid-isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0-part5 -> ../../dm-5 |-- raid-isw_dgibfidibf_Volume0-part6 -> ../../dm-6 |-- scsi-SATA_SAMSUNG_MZRPC12S0T6NY0B706684 -> ../../sda |-- scsi-SATA_SAMSUNG_MZRPC12S0T6NY5B706684 -> ../../sdb `-- wwn-0x50000f0043584d30 -> ../../sda When it tries to resume, it tries to do so from Volume0p5, which is set as swap, its size is 9.3GB (I have 8GB ram) How I can help debug further?
