You have been subscribed to a public bug: I've downloaded Ubuntu 12.10 and followed this official how-to in order to make a bootable USB drive:
http://www.ubuntu.com/download/help/create-a-usb-stick-on-mac-osx But unfortunately, my Mac doesn't seem to recognise the USB drive. Holding the option key and starting my MacBook Air, I get no option for Ubuntu / USB drive, but only one for HD and one for Recovery. However, I can boot the same USB drive on other computers. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Low Status: Incomplete ** Tags: bot-comment -- Can't Boot 12.10 live USB on MacBook Air https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1099539 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
