Title:
UMTS Modem not working in 11.04

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
After upgrading to (k)ubuntu 11.04, my UMTS USB Modems stopped
  working.

The syslog attached is captured with a Huawei K3765, other Huawei modems
behave similar (e.g. the E160)
There is no difference in trying it with KDE or Unity/Gnome
Booting another kernel did not help either.
