Title: [Asus X751LA] Touchpad not recognised in Ubuntu14.04 Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I guess this is the same bug found with this new generation of touchpads in other Asus models. See: Bug #1314198 I filed a separate report as nobody so far reported this specific notebook model. The touchpad is currently working as a PS/2 mouse, however this prevents from using synaptics/syndaemon to suspend touching while typing (and, of course, double finger scrolling does not work). The only solution is to toggle the PS/2 mouse off and use an external mouse.
