It's difficult to position it when this happens, as I'll move the mouse and the pointer will react a later, sometimes a long as a second, and with little precision. Virtually unusable when it gets this way. I've checked system monitor for runaway processes, and nothing is hogging the CPU. The mouse is a Microsoft wireless (optical).
