Hi. Sorry for the delay. I just tested kernel 3.17.0-031700 (from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.17-utopic/) and it does not crash anymore (actually the current trusty version also does not crash). However, and although ubuntu networkmanager does not indicate that the connection is lost, every few seconds the connection halts for about 1 to 2 seconds.
As such, should I am not sure what to say regarding the status of this bug. Should it be closed as fixed (and new one opened) or keep this one opened while the driver is not fully working? Thanks and best regards. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1362648 Title: 10ec:8821 [Asus VC60] Kernel panic on driver rtl8821ae Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I have tested with the daily image from 26/Aug, and it did not crash as before, but the wireless doe not work properly.
