Earlier I had tried to install the 64 bit Ubuntu 12.04 and 13.04 on the same computer. In both cases, the installations were successful but the display was not initializing after restart. I had similar problem when I tried to install Fedora 64 bit on the same system.
After these failures, I installed Ubuntu 12.04 (32 bit) and it was successful. There was no such problem in that version. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1344500 Title: [Samsung NP305E5Z-S01IN] Display is not initializing while awaking from Standby Mode Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: While using the default X.Org X Server graphics driver, display does not initialize after awaking from Standby mode.
