Public bug reported: Running 'perf trace' with perf from linux-lts-trusty-tools-3.13.0-35 returns the following error:
perf: 'trace' is not a perf-command. See 'perf --help'. This is probably due to the fact that libaudit-dev was not available at compile time. Is it an oversight or was it left out intentionally ? Adding 'libaudit-dev' to Build-Depends, installing it and rebuilding the package makes the 'perf trace' command work. ** Affects: linux-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-meta in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1368003 Title: perf trace not compiled in Status in “linux-meta” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Running 'perf trace' with perf from linux-lts-trusty-tools-3.13.0-35 returns the following error: perf: 'trace' is not a perf-command.
