Using 3.13.0-30-generic Ubuntu 64 bit 14.04 LTS. 1: The keystrokes suddenly stop working e.g. when using LYX [latest version]. 2: The text input stops and moves to the beginning of the previously written line and overrights it [although hitting return will still execute the full line] e.g. when using R [latest version]. The problem does not occur on my 32-bit system only the 64 bit.
