Title: Steam client for Linux hanging on Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Hello I'm using the latest Steam Client on linux but the issue was the same with the previous versions current version built : aug 28 2014 at 03:25:10 steam API : V016 steam package version : 1409240101 Some timesn the Steam Gui seems to want to stay always at the first plan and every click on the mouse on another application (Firefox, Thunderbird, any others), also the Unity launcher is frozen; put me back on the steam window. I've contacted the steam support and they said : "Steam Support is currently unable to provide assistance with the Steam for Linux beta client." I suppose than means they only supports SteamOS which I don't want to get, still fine with Ubuntu. The workaround seems to be right-click on any app of the Unity Launcher and select an option or, if Gnome Failback was instead chooses as desktop, to right clink on an app in the app toolbar.
