Can not boot unsigned kernel on non-EFI system

Hello.
Something wrong with latest kernel. Unsigned version doesn't wprk at
all.

I've installed grub-pc and run dpkg-reconfigure grub-pc. After upgrade-grub
system doesn't boot.
It report kernel panic with "No working init found" message. This problem
occurs on all my computers,
not only hp touchsmart laptop.

I've found fix for this problem change kernel in /boot/grub/grub.cfg
on second .efi.signed version:
linux /boot/vmlinuz-3.13.0-32-generic.efi.signed
root=UUID=8727ca07-ad08-4a63-933f-506cd98c1d6a ro quiet splash
$vt_handoff # It works, but it seems inaproriate solution for BIOS
systems.
Please pay attention.
