Update: Latest Ubuntu 14.04 update has corrected connectivity issue. Full 70/70 connection on AC wifi on 2.4ghz, as well as 5ghz.
Testing on both 3.15RC3 kernel as well as 3.13.0.24 kernel - stability and connectivity improved.
