hi, Christopher M. Penalver (penalvch) this is the output of command that you've asked: ASUS K8N4-E ACPI BIOS Revision 1004 10/04/2005
I didn't flush my BIOS though I actually never did it, so I don't wanna mess it up. I downloaded files for my BIOS update .bin and .exe and when I bought this computer long time ago with WinXp on it, now it's only Ubuntu there and the tutorial link that you sent doesn't highly recommend it using Wine for the BIOS update. So I just leave it as it is, don't wanna risk. Anyways I didn't even upgraded with some incompatible hardware so it require and update or some. With Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Log Out option worked perfectly fine, but after an upgrade to 14.04 it doesn't function that much, it just looks like it doesn't respond like waiting for something about 30 sec. and starts slowly to log out... maybe that because of an upgrade? Lots of people get errors after an upgrade rather than clean/fresh install. Because everything else is working perfectly fine. Thanks for helping anyways. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1314655 Title: [Asus K8N4-E] Log Out doesn't work using Control Panel Menu in 14.04 Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Log Out option doesn't function.
