I can see something, just the backlight is off. Switching to a Console with CMD-ALT-F3 and back to X11 turns it on. This problem is known with my laptop and I resolved it with gutsy adding DOUBLE_CONSOLE_SWITCH=true to /etc/default/acpi-support, but this does not to work for hardy. Laptop: Lenovo Thinkpad T61 with Intel GMA915 graphics. Please feel free to ask for some attachements or files or anything that helps. Thanks for the good job youre doing.
