Bug description:
[ Impact ]
On 6.14.0-33-generic, on the AMD GPT1-based OEM platforms, with the
current linux-firmware the eDP will not function normally. It shows
only garbage on the screen. This has been observed on some latest HP
and Lenovo platforms.
[ Fix ]
Update the PSP_14_0_0 bins to the latest. This includes the following
files:
1. amdgpu/psp_14_0_0_ta.bin
2. amdgpu/psp_14_0_0_toc.bin
The upstream commit 6a2f118a5a90dbc65[1] contains the said PSP
firmware files.
[ Test ]
1. Install the kernel and the updated linux-firmware on the said GPT1
platforms.
2. Boot into the OS. The eDP should not show garbage.
4. Repeat the above steps on a platform with STRIX processor. The eDP should
also function normally.
[ Where the problems could occur ]
This should affect only the PSP 14.0.0 hardware. This currently
affects the GPT1 and STRIX[2] platfroms.
