Title:
5.15.0-156 cpu freeze.
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Ubuntu 22.04, 5.15.0-156-generic, x86. Bug affects both virtual and
bare metal machines.
After upgrading to 5.15.0-156-generic, server seems to randomly end up
in a cpu lock, where it becomes completely unresonposible, where only
a power cycle will unfreeze it.
vmware shows 100% cpu load, no/minimal memory usage, and sometimes
logs like these can be seen in console;

Some servers is able to be logged into, others freeze before login is
possible.
Where login is possible, system works great until apt-get is ran, and then it
freezes completely.
For me apt-get update is what is actually freezing the system.
Ticket is similar to #2125707, but this has incorrect title.
Issue was experienced on ~30 servers in various enviroments (also
airgapped) both physical and virtual. All on x86.
