Hi,
Thank You very much.
I wanted to provide an update regarding the issue. The new 6.14 HWE kernel
completely resolved the WiFi problem. As for Ethernet, to get it working
properly, I had to download the drivers directly from the Realtek website,
as the ones included in the kernel didn't work. I also had to force the
removal of all default drivers.

Bug description:
On kernel 6.8.0-84-generic the onboard Realtek Ethernet (driver r8169)
stopped working.
dmesg shows:
r8169 0000:11:00.0: error -ENODEV: unknown chip XID 688
On kernel 6.8.0-83-generic Ethernet works fine.
Additionally, my onboard Realtek Wi-Fi (rtw89_8922ae) does not work on either
6.8.0-83 or 6.8.0-84.
dmesg shows:
rtw89_8922ae 0000:10:00.0: no suitable firmware found
This may be a separate issue, but I mention it here for context.
Output of lspci -nnk | grep -A3 Ethernet:
