Title:
Update from 6.14.0-27-generic to 6.14.0-28-generic breaks wifi,
mousepad, ethernet access
Status in linux-hwe-6.14 package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
I upgraded my system (6.14.0-27-generic to 6.14.0-28-generic) and
wifi, ethernet and mousepad stopped working. Going down to
6.14.0-27-generic again fixes everything, so not urgent to fix for my
part.
My hunch is that drivers were not installed.
nmcli device status gave nothing resembling wifi
Got nothing from:
lsmod | grep iwlwifi
But from 6.14.0.27 I got:
iwlwifi 663552 1 iwlmvm
cfg80211 1433600 3 iwlmvm,iwlwifi,mac80211
In 6.14.0.28 I also tried to load driver with
sudo modprobe iwlwifi
