Some time later, I resume from suspend by opening the lid; the fan immediately runs at full speed and does not stop. This is the case even when the laptop is not running any heavy tasks. Upon running "sensors" from the lm-sensors package, one of the temperature sensors reports this: acpitz-acpi-0 Adapter: ACPI interface temp1: +48.0°C It otherwise reports a temperature in the mid-30s Putting the laptop back into suspend, waiting a few seconds for the fan to stop and then opening the lid, thus resuming from suspend, will usually fix the problem of the fan running, and the incorrect temperature report. Sometimes I may need to close and open the lid two or three times. --- ProblemType: Bug ApportVersion: 2.28.1-0ubuntu3.8 Architecture: amd64 CasperMD5CheckResult: pass CurrentDesktop: GNOME-Flashback:GNOME DistroRelease: Ubuntu 24.04 InstallationDate: Installed on 2024-07-01 (403 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS "Noble Numbat" - Release amd64 (20240424) Package: linux (not installed) Tags: noble Uname: Linux 6.15.9-zabbly+ x86_64 UnreportableReason: The running kernel is not an Ubuntu kernel UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) UserGroups: adm cdrom dip lpadmin plugdev sudo users _MarkForUpload: True --- ProblemType: Bug ApportVersion: 2.28.1-0ubuntu3.8 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC0: robin 1549 F.... wireplumber /dev/snd/seq: robin 1547 F.... pipewire CRDA: N/A CasperMD5CheckResult: pass CurrentDesktop: GNOME-Flashback:GNOME DistroRelease: Ubuntu 24.04 InstallationDate: Installed on 2024-07-01 (403 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS "Noble Numbat" - Release amd64 (20240424) MachineType: LENOVO 20JN000TAU Package: linux (not installed) ProcFB: 0 i915drmfb ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-6.14.0-27-generic root=UUID=96402509-0477-44ba-b238-3bf448d12311 ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 6.14.0-27.27~24.04.1-generic 6.14.6 RelatedPackageVersions: linux-restricted-modules-6.14.0-27-generic N/A linux-backports-modules-6.14.0-27-generic N/A linux-firmware 20240318.git3b128b60-0ubuntu2.15 Tags: noble Uname: Linux 6.14.0-27-generic x86_64 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) UserGroups: adm cdrom dip lpadmin plugdev sudo users _MarkForUpload: True dmi.bios.date: 12/26/2022 dmi.bios.release: 1.73 dmi.bios.vendor: LENOVO dmi.bios.version: N1QET98W (1.73 ) dmi.board.asset.tag: Not Available dmi.board.name: 20JN000TAU dmi.board.vendor: LENOVO dmi.board.version: SDK0J40697 WIN dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Information dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: LENOVO dmi.chassis.version: None dmi.ec.firmware.release: 1.30 dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnLENOVO:bvrN1QET98W(1.73):bd12/26/2022:br1.73:efr1.30:svnLENOVO:pn20JN000TAU:pvrThinkPadT470W10DG:rvnLENOVO:rn20JN000TAU:rvrSDK0J40697WIN:cvnLENOVO:ct10:cvrNone:skuLENOVO_MT_20JN_BU_Think_FM_ThinkPadT470W10DG: dmi.product.family: ThinkPad T470 W10DG dmi.product.name: 20JN000TAU dmi.product.sku: LENOVO_MT_20JN_BU_Think_FM_ThinkPad T470 W10DG dmi.product.version: ThinkPad T470 W10DG dmi.sys.vendor: LENOVO To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2119707/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
