This bug is awaiting verification that the linux-gcp-
fips/6.8.0-1035.37+fips1 kernel in -proposed solves the problem. Please
test the kernel and update this bug with the results. If the problem is
solved, change the tag 'verification-needed-noble-linux-gcp-fips' to
'verification-done-noble-linux-gcp-fips'. If the problem still exists,
change the tag 'verification-needed-noble-linux-gcp-fips' to
'verification-failed-noble-linux-gcp-fips'.

If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will
be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed.

See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how
to enable and use -proposed. Thank you!

Bug description:
  SRU Justification

  [Impact]

Google has requested the backport of a fix commit for the IDPF driver,
after seeing kdump failures in other distributions. We haven't yet had
any similar failures, so this is a preventative measure.

  [Fix]

  Backport commit:
  52c11d31b5a1 ("idpf: call set_real_num_queues in idpf_open")
  which fixes the break commit:
1c325aac10a8 ("idpf: configure resources for TX queues")

Context adjusted for Noble and Jammy due to missing commit:
f01032a2ca09 ("idpf: fix memory leaks and crashes while performing a soft
reset")

  [Test Plan]

Compile and boot tested. No reproducer was given.

  [Regression potential]

Regressions are limited to the IDPF module, and since this is a very
small fix, it's unlikely to create new bugs. All patches applied
mostly unchanged from their upstream version.

  [Other]

  SF #00406683
