you can install the newst kernel with the regular apt-get update/upgrade
and the problem is fixed. do note that amdgpt-dkms might still not work due to
its support

I already tried the following grub configs:
acpi_backlight=vendor
acpi_backlight=native
acpi_backlight=amdgpu
amdgpu.backlight=0
nomodeset
lsb_release -rd:
No LSB modules are available.

I expect to be able to control the backlight. Also, waking up after
hibernation, the pc seems to be working, but nothing is displayed
(probably also linked to the backlight problem).
I cannot attach any files described in the wiki article as this form
only allows one attachment but i will try to add them after posting
this.
