it seems like it's an upstream introduced regression.
Were you able to run the camera properly on Oracular (Ubuntu 6.11 kernel) or in 
Noble (Ubuntu 6.8 kernel)?
Are you connecting the webcam directly into the laptop or are you using some 
kind of docking station?

  Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 broken after update to 25.04

Bug description:
  My C920 webcam no longer works.
  With cheese, I can get a stuttering video sometimes. guvcview records a black 
image. Zoom no longer works. I haven't had trouble with this webcam for years.

  Please instruct me on how to debug this situation.
