The driver for the argon one blaster dac (hifberry-dacplus) fails to
load on ubuntu 25.04 for Raspberry Pi (running on a 16GB Raspberry Pi 5)
with the following errors:-
designware-i2s 1f000a0000.i2s: Missing dma channel for stream: 0
designware-i2s 1f000a0000.i2s: ASoC: error at snd_soc_pcm_component_new on
1f000a0000.i2s: -22
snd-rpi-hifiberry-dacplus soc@107c000000:sound: ASoC: can't create pcm
HiFiBerry DAC+ HiFi :-22
snd-rpi-hifiberry-dacplus soc@107c000000:sound: snd_soc_register_card() failed:
-22
snd-rpi-hifiberry-dacplus soc@107c000000:sound: probe with driver
snd-rpi-hifiberry-dacplus failed with error -22
I have tried it with dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus-std,
dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus-pro, and dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus,slave entries
in the config.txt file all with no success.
I have also tried it on ubuntu 24.04, ubuntu 24.10 as well as ubuntu
25.04 with no success.
The card works fine if I use the latest version of Raspberry Pi OS, so
it's not a hardware issue.
