Public bug reported: [Impact] It shows garbages on the display for around 0.5 while doing S3/WB/CB.
[Fix] The commit in 6.12-rc1 fixes the issue. fcb3a4fb8255 drm/amd/display: Request 0MHz dispclk for zero display case [Test] On AMD platform, reboot it and there is no garbage on the screen while the display turns off. [Where problems could occur] It's reasonable to set dispclk to 0 when context->stream_count is 0. It should not introduce any regression, because there is no DP video stream. ** Affects: hwe-next Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: linux-oem-6.11 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: linux-oem-6.11 (Ubuntu Noble) Importance: Undecided Assignee: AceLan Kao (acelankao) Status: In Progress ** Tags: jira-wtn-273 oem-priority wtn ** Also affects: linux-oem-6.11 (Ubuntu Noble) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: linux-oem-6.11 (Ubuntu Noble) Assignee: (unassigned) => AceLan Kao (acelankao) ** Changed in: linux-oem-6.11 (Ubuntu Noble) Status: New => In Progress ** Tags added: jira-wtn-273 oem-priority wtn -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-oem-6.11 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2112292 Title: Display flash garbage 0.5s when executing S3/WB/CB tests on AMD platform Status in HWE Next: New Status in linux-oem-6.11 package in Ubuntu: New Status in linux-oem-6.11 source package in Noble: In Progress Bug description: [Impact] It shows garbages on the display for around 0.5 while doing S3/WB/CB.
