Title: linux-modules-extra not being installed with kernel upgrades Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: [Note: I previously reported this issue in a much messier way, but for some reason I cannot find the previous bug report anywhere. I suspect I must somehow accidentally have two Launchpad accounts but I don't know what the other one is. Sorry for any confusion!] Since version 6.8.0-57-generic, when I upgrade kernels I find that I am missing linux-modules-extra. My workaround is to reboot into the previous kernel (so I have iwlwifi and hence internet connection) then manually install linux-modules-extra-<new version>. So far I am up to 6.8.0-59-generic i.e. I have had this issue on 3 upgrades. I'm afraid I'm rather ignorant about how this thing works so I'm not sure what information I should best provide. Please let me know and I'll attach whatever isn't automatically included.
