upgrade to 25.04 (plucky) finished, but boot failed

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  I upgraded my iMac 12.2 from 24.10 to 25.04 via do-release-upgrade -d.
Everything worked fine, but with the final reboot the system did not come
back.

the last messages are from the apple firmware:

I could start the system via boot via supergrub
For me something with efi seems to be broken, but the efibootmgr is the same
version as on 24.10
