Another way to confirm this issue on Trusty with this system is: 1. Do two-finger scrolling with finger tips (with small contact area of your fingers) 2. After you can successfully scroll, remove one finger, you will find single touch does not work with a small contact area of your finger. ubuntu@201305-13624:~$ xinput list ⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)] ⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ eGalax Inc. eGalaxTouch EXC7910-1018-03.00.01 id=9 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ ALPS PS/2 Device id=11 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ AlpsPS/2 ALPS GlidePoint id=12 [slave pointer (2)] ⎣ Virtual core keyboard id=3 [master keyboard (2)] ↳ Virtual core XTEST keyboard id=5 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ Power Button id=6 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ Power Button id=7 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ HP Truevision HD id=8 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ AT Translated Set 2 keyboard id=10 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ HP WMI hotkeys id=13 [slave keyboard (3)] ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 Package: linux-image-3.13.0-23-generic 3.13.0-23.45 [modified: boot/vmlinuz-3.13.0-23-generic] ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-23.45-generic 3.13.8 Uname: Linux 3.13.0-23-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu1 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC0: ubuntu 1653 F.... pulseaudio /dev/snd/controlC1: ubuntu 1653 F.... pulseaudio CRDA: country TW: (2402 - 2472 @ 40), (3, 27) (5270 - 5330 @ 40), (3, 17), DFS (5735 - 5815 @ 40), (3, 30) CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Wed Apr 9 18:16:29 2014 HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=7c06a53c-59c3-4f3e-8fc4-8fc56819ec91 InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-04-07 (1 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS "Trusty Tahr" - Daily amd64 (20140406) MachineType: Hewlett-Packard HP Pavilion TS 14 Notebook PC ProcFB: 0 EFI VGA ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-3.13.0-23-generic.efi.signed root=UUID=e9552b0e-0694-4ff5-92a8-a7830ab61feb ro quiet splash nomodeset vt.handoff=7 RelatedPackageVersions: linux-restricted-modules-3.13.0-23-generic N/A linux-backports-modules-3.13.0-23-generic N/A linux-firmware 1.127 SourcePackage: linux UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) dmi.bios.date: 05/27/2013 dmi.bios.vendor: Insyde dmi.bios.version: B.09 dmi.board.asset.tag: Type2 - Board Asset Tag dmi.board.name: 2162 dmi.board.vendor: Hewlett-Packard dmi.board.version: 29.0A dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: Hewlett-Packard dmi.chassis.version: Chassis Version dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnInsyde:bvrB.09:bd05/27/2013:svnHewlett-Packard:pnHPPavilionTS14NotebookPC:pvr089C100000000010000630100:rvnHewlett-Packard:rn2162:rvr29.0A:cvnHewlett-Packard:ct10:cvrChassisVersion: dmi.product.name: HP Pavilion TS 14 Notebook PC dmi.product.version: 089C100000000010000630100 dmi.sys.vendor: Hewlett-Packard To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1304993/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
