Title: Laptop sometimes overheating / draining battery while sleeping Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: My Dell XPS 13 (9380) sometimes overheats / drains battery while in sleep. This seems to be happening if sleep was triggered while the laptop is still hot (e.g. after running some heavy workload) when the lid is closed; the workaround is to wait for it to cool down before closing the lid. This is especially dangerous since it overheats even more in a bag. At first I was suspecting that it just fails to enter the sleep state but I've checked dmesg and I could actually see sleep/resume messages with correct timestamps. I've seen similar reports with other Intel hardware; seems like Intel is aware of this issue and they're preparing kernel patches to fix that.
