Title: Intel hda sound card unavailable right after boot on mac mini Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Expired Bug description: The embedded HDA Intel sound card on Mac Mini is not always available when the boot sequence enters rc.local: attempts to access the device there (e.g. via aplay) often fail. My current workaround is to wait for the PCM devices (/proc/asound/card0/pcm0p, /proc/asound/card0/pcm0c) in a check-sleep-check loop before launching the aplay command. The card always comes up in the end, so it looks like the card driver needs just a little more time to properly complete initialization.
