Title:
Intel DH67GD board w/ i5-2405S cpu fails to boot with rc6 enabled

Bug description:
During boot, comes up with screen corruption and immediately locks up
  unless i915.i915_enable_rc6=0 is used.

Both the motherboard (DH67GD) and cpu (i5-2405S) are stock Intel just
purchased via Newegg. USB live images from prior to when rc6 was
enabled install and boot fine, but more recent images have the
corruption/lockup problem. I installed an old precise image and
  upgraded it, then disabled rc6.

The motherboard is reasonably generic but the cpu is one of the low
power models. Guessing that might not play well with rc6?
