Hi Kelvin, Unfortunately this has still not been fixed in a kernel release. The test kernel that I had prepared in order to verify whether my suspicion with regards to the root cause of this problem is correct simply reverted a change that was made for this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1965303 The cause of this issue seems to be indeed the switch to simpledrm, however, reverting these changes is not really feasible since the fbdev interface has been deprecated and switching back to it seems hard to justify for an SRU. I am currently investigating whether this can be solved in a different way, other than reverting to the old mechanism. I will try to provide an update as soon as possible, sorry for the delay.
