AppArmor tracks the apparmor userspace packages linux - the kernel fix There is an open question to whether full mqueue mediation should be backported to focal. Focal has partial mqueue mediation due to mqueues sort of existing in the fs, and support for mqueue mediation was already SRUed to focal apparmor userspace.
The partial mqueue mediation in Focal's kernel has caused some issues, and the full patchset including the fix for this may need to be SRUed kernel side. ** Changed in: apparmor Assignee: (unassigned) => John Johansen (jjohansen) ** Changed in: apparmor Status: New => In Progress ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu Noble) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu Oracular) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu Plucky) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu Plucky) Assignee: (unassigned) => John Johansen (jjohansen) ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu Plucky) Status: New => In Progress -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2102237 Title: Disconnected paths for mqueues show a TODO in the kernel logs Status in AppArmor: In Progress Status in linux package in Ubuntu: In Progress Status in linux source package in Noble: New Status in linux source package in Oracular: New Status in linux source package in Plucky: In Progress Bug description: Whenever dealing with disconnected paths in mqueues, the kernel logs show apparmor mqueue disconnected TODO which means that disconnected paths for mqueue are allowed by default attaching it to / This should be allowed by policy instead A proposal is to have the flag attach_disconnected.ipc and attach_disconnected.ipc=/path To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/apparmor/+bug/2102237/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
