Public bug reported: Installing libegl-amber0 and/or libglx-amber0 (21.3.9-0ubuntu2) on Oracular (24.10) destroys display system. Even eglgears_wayland does not start, but many other simple apps, like gnome-sushi. Error messages are "libEGL warning: did not find extension DRI_IMAGE_DRIVER version 1" and with Qt apps, messages like "QEGLPlatformContext: Failed to create context: 3000" or "QEGLPlatformContext: Failed to create context: 3009", "QRhiGles2: Failed to create context" a.s.o. Uninstalling these two packages restores the system. Clearly, this version is incompatible with the standard garphic system.
