Public bug reported:

I'm not going to list all the drivers or missing drivers. When you, the
amorphous Ubuntu programmers, write a new bloody kernel; make damn sure
the kernel is validated, verified and reliable. It pisses me off to no
end to have constant updates for the kernel and other aspects of Linux.
There is absolutely no reason for so many updates! It is a sign of poor
programming if you need update the entire kernel every couple of weeks!
Because you people are constantly updating the kernel, you are prone to
human error, hence, the constant breaks with each new kernel version.
Then, the process of bug reporting begins all over again! I guess this
is some sort of job security, but it is a sign this OS is truly poorly
written. I am considering another...
