Title: Install media (from Startup Disk Creator) does not reboot Status in linux package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: W.r.t. #2078572, I have checked the install media, created with Startup Disk Creator, for 22.04 and 24.04. Both do not reboot the specific Lenovo Thinkpad Helix 2 neither. At shutdown, it is advised to remove the installation media, and press Enter. When done, the display of the last lines stays, and the system still accepts user input from the keyboard; though not processing it. The attachment shows the state. With a 'fresh' install of 18.04, everything works. (I mentioned this elsewhere.) That is, #2078572 does not happen, that is in the installed version, but shuts down properly (excluding a hardware error - btw. I own three of these machines and all behave similar); as well as the system shuts down properly from installation media.
